Facts GFA tower: 11,200 m² | GFA cultural centre: 1,880 m²

The new hotel will be built in connection with the existing one. The tower will be 78m high and has 24 floors. There is an ambition to build a new cultural centre connected to the hotel so that cultural and hotel functions can complement each other to create more positive synergies for both. The Culture House of 1880m² shall contain a large multipurpose hall, cinema, dining facilities and areas for arts activities. The tower with hotel facilities will accommodate 11,200 m".

The design wants to create a tall tower with concrete decks which is internally covered with wood and has an exterior glass façade. It is a stated goal that the project should contain a sustainable environmental strategy. It will be built with the minimum passive house standard and has extensive use of wood. The possibilities for thermal energy production are also a very important point of view. As part of the sustainability goals, the existing and new hotel will be complementary to each other.
