Subsequently to a selection procedure the french real estate group Unibail invited 10 international architectural practices, including Dominique Perrault Architecture, for a competition for a 300 m high-rise tower in the French capital. The building named "Le Phare" is to be completed until 2012 with a total floor area of almost 130,000 m².
Within the competition team of Dominique Perrault, B+G were responsible for the structural design. In November 2006 Unibail commissioned Tom Mayne with his office Morphosis. The team of Dominique Perault was awarded a prize.
