Pedestrian Bridge over the Theel

The design of the team o5-Architekten from Frankfurt and Bollinger+Grohmann were awarded the 1st prize in the competition "New construction for a pedestrian bridge over the Theel" which was launched by the city of Lebach.

"The design proposes a bridge construction consisting of box profile twisted by 90 degree over the length of the bridge. A superior design quality is achieved almost playfully. The sole design element is an irregularly perforated steel sheet, its light finish radiating brightness and characterizing the location as an object of art. By the exceptional bottom view and side elevation resembling a bow the bridge itself becomes an object of curiosity."
