Facts NFA: 2,000 m²

The gymnasium in Garges-lès-Gonesse is on a green hilly area in the leisure area of the town. The construction programme consists of a multi-functional hall with built-in seating, a climbing wall, changing rooms and roof terrace accessible from the outside.

The building blends into the hilly surroundings because of the slope of the roof and offers a freely accessible forecourt. Because of the steep ground, the upper zone of the building is 4 m below the upper edge of the ground.

The suspended double circumflex aluminium roof and the generous glass areas lend an air of lightness, as intended by the design. The eastern façade is of subdivided doors that open, if necessary, the inner room to the outside.
