Gateway Gardens: MK 7a (Competition)

At Expo Real in Munich on October 6, 2014, eight final architectural designs were presented for four high-rise locations in Frankfurt's new Gateway Gardens district. These designs resulted from a two-stage urban planning study process that the Gateway Gardens property company organized in February 2014. Out of the 16 participating international architectural firms, eight were chosen for the final round in May 2014.

Zaha Hadid Architects developed a high-rise design that was closely coordinated between the architecture and the supporting structure. This allowed for the development of a supporting structure that provides ample floor plans and maximum flexibility for utilizing and routing building services.
