Facts GFA Podium + Tower: 29,494 m² | GFA Basements: 16,413 m² | Competition: 2022, 1st prize

On the site of the former goods station Oberkassel, the construction of a 25-storey high-rise building with mixed-use of offices, residential, commercial and (partly) public areas is planned. The design for the building emerged from a competition entry by UNStudio, Amsterdam.

A plinth is planned for the highrise building from the ground floor to the fifth floor. This part of the building will be extended to the south-east, where it will have an additional core and a pedestrian passage. The sixth level of the building is the transfer level between the podium and the tower. From the seventh floor onwards, flats with balconies and loggias are planned, while the final 25th floor will house the technical facilities. An underground car park, storage areas and additional technical rooms will be located on three basement levels.
