In 2011, Bollinger+Grohmann conducted a feasibility study on preserving the entire site of the former Chief Finance Directorate, revealing that the main building could not be restored. However, the study recommended the preservation of the so-called presidential building, which is connected to the main building by a corridor, and the roof of a petrol station from the 1950s. Both of these buildings are listed as historical landmarks.

As part of constructing the new Financial School Campus, Bollinger+Grohmann was tasked with developing a plan to secure specific components of the existing building. During this process, B+G also took on the responsibility of coordinating and overseeing the plan to ensure the corridor of the Presidential Building. Additionally, they were responsible for relocating the petrol station roof to a new location where electric cars and e-bikes will be supplied with electricity.
