Football Stadium (Competition)

In the competition for the new football stadium in Zaragoza, the design by Coop Himmelb(l)au, developed in collaboration with B+G, was awarded second prize.

The characteristic feature of the project is the umbrella-shaped roof suspended over the stadium, which covers the stands, the semi-public areas and the exterior. The roof is designed as a visible, open steel construction with metal slats on the top.
