The proposed design includes the installation of five sculptures that will span the entire length of the ‘art mile', enhancing the area's quality and experience. It is also possible to extend this concept to the east, as far as Hubertusstraße, once the renaturalization of the Hellbach stream by the Emschergenossenschaft has been completed. The lampshades of the lanterns have been designed in a playful and sculptural form, looking both functional and reminiscent of technical drawings, architectural models by Richard Buckminster Fuller, or representations of molecular structures. The lampshade segments are open at the bottom, providing 'homes' for mosquitoes and insects during the relevant season.

The lampposts have been carefully designed using galvanized steel to ensure they meet all structural requirements and withstand high wind loads. The poles are six meters high and anchored into a 1.5 meter deep point foundation in the ground. The mast located on the inside wall of the tunnel is 3.5 meters high and is affixed to the wall with clamps and anchors. The lampshades are made of welded aluminum profiles that are 2.5cm x 2.5cm x 4mm in size, and were created based on static calculations. These lampshades can withstand high wind loads.
