The project involves the creation of a riding centre for high-quality dressage horses for Norwegian athlete and equestrian trainer Cathrine Rasmussen.
The client wanted an open roof with no visible tension bars, which was achieved by developing a unique structure consisting of glulam beams, large concrete foundations and slender concrete columns. The roof itself is constructed from CLT.
The arena has been developed with sustainable solutions for using materials, heating and ventilation.
B+G was contracted not only for the structural engineering but also to develop the project in collaboration with Lund Hagem Architects.
