Opening of Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3

Frankfurt Airport Terminal 3 opened on 22 April 2026, after a significant construction period. In 2005, we won first prize in the competition together with Mäckler Architekten and were initially involved in the beginning of the planning phase.

Congratulations to Mäckler Architekten and Fraport AG for this successful endeavour. The Terminal also includes the ceiling sculpture “Marktplatz 3” by LAVA Architects. LAVA's design is based on a spatial concept that prioritises ambiance, efficiency, and traveler well-being. We were commissioned by the executing company, Arnold AG, to provide structural engineering services for the sculpture.
