Presentation: Glasbau 2026
Our colleague Alexander Freund will deliver a presentation titled ‘Digitales Planen und Bauen im Kontext der Gebäudehülle’ (‘Digital Planning and Construction in the Context of the Building Envelope’) at Glasbau2026 in Dresden.
The conference gathers researchers, manufacturers, architects, and engineers to explore the latest advancements in glass construction and façade technology. The program includes keynote presentations, a variety of specialist lectures, and interactive workshops, encouraging in-depth technical dialogue and knowledge sharing. Alexander’s contribution will focus on façade engineering for the Elbtower high-rise building in Hamburg, highlighting the model-based workflow between the architects at David Chipperfield Architects and us, responsible for the façade engineering, where digital tools enabled the rapid synchronisation of geometry and its optimisation for buildability.
