The Toegangspoort Ecocampus Diepenbeek in Limburg consists of three cylindrical buildings around an existing roundabout: a gate building, a parking hub and an education hub. The project creates large, open spaces and flexible areas designed to adapt to future needs, with sustainability and efficient resource use as key drivers.
The structural concept involves flat slabs supported by columns, featuring a minimalist design and large, open areas for flexible use. The cylindrical geometry of the buildings informs the load-bearing strategy, while floor layouts remain adaptable for future changes. Material choices prioritise efficiency and performance, and BIM coordination ensures precision in the execution and integration of technical systems.
