Publication: ‘Durchgängige digitale Pipelines’
Our colleagues Lars Ahlfeld, Alexander Hofbeck, and Ljuba Tascheva have written the article ‘Durchgängige digitale Pipelines – vom 3D-Modell zum Normnachweis’ (‘End-to-end digital pipelines – from 3D model to code verification’), published in the May edition of Beton- und Stahlbau by Ernst & Sohn.
The article examines the growing adoption of BIM in structural design and the challenges that persist due to the separation of coordination, collaboration, and structural analysis processes. While BIM requirements in public tenders continue to grow, structural design workflows often remain decoupled from digital project coordination, leading to duplicated information and additional model-quality processes that create inefficiencies.
