World Design Capital 2026: WDC Pavillon

For World Design Capital 2026, we were part of the project team for the WDC Pavilion, designed by Constructlab.

The pavilion combines a lightweight timber structure with inflatable air cushions to create a flexible, mobile space for public exchange. We were responsible for the structural engineering of the timber construction, including the development of connection systems that enable fast assembly and repeated disassembly, supporting the pavilion’s touring concept.

From mid-April through the end of September 2026, the pavilion will travel across the region, including Bad Homburg, Offenbach, Wiesbaden, and Darmstadt, serving as a temporary meeting place in public space and inviting people to engage, explore, and experience design together.
