DAM Reopening
After four years of renovation and energy-efficient modernization, the Architekturmuseum has returned to the Museumsufer. It reopened last Sunday, June 1st, just in time to celebrate its 41st anniversary.
We are proud to have contributed to this local project, just around the corner from our Frankfurt office, by providing structural engineering and building physics services. We look forward to many exciting new exhibitions at this familiar location on the banks of the Main.
While the refurbishment brought only a few visible changes, extensive work was carried out behind the scenes: following initial fire protection measures, all roof surfaces and façades were upgraded to improve energy performance. Additional measures included the renewal of the flat roof, the east façade, roof drainage in the historic building, and the refurbishment of the distinctive arched roof.
