The northern bank of the Elbe in Hamburg is currently undergoing a transformation. The new development planned here should be the final section of the "Hamburg Pearl Necklace". The project aims to create a sustainable mix of commercial space - with a focus on the fish trade - office space, residential and hotel use, and necessary parking facilities. The area's typical harbor/industrial character will be reinterpreted in a new way. The urban design concept involves integrating the existing structures of the old fish halls along the Große Elbstraße: low, sculptural buildings will line the waterfront promenade. By slightly bending or undercutting the main facades, an exciting street corridor will be created.
